When You’re Older

Published August 7, 2013 by meredithwyatt1990

By the title you may think I’m going to tell you a story about the birds and the bees, right? No, I won’t do that, what kind of girl do you think I am? What I will tell you is you need to keep learning. Whether you go to trade school, or college, take 2 classes or get really ambitious and take 5, the point is get out in the world, travel, take up a hobby, read books, do what you can to further your mind and education. College students do make more money than students who just have a high school diploma. Sorry but you can’t rely on looks or street smarts in life to get what you want. That’s called taking advantage of the system and will eventually catch up to you in life. You’ll be down at the bottom and it will be harder than ever to get a job. Especially if you have a less than favorable past. Clean up your Internet footprint and make yourself diverse in the classes you take in high school because that’s what employers look for. They want to see you’re a well rounded individual and not still the little teenager from way back when. You need to appear grown up and learn to act it because that will get you further in life than you realize.
