You may have noticed we missed our usual career post on Wednesday. We were trying to write between meetings, appointments, phone calls, more meetings, and things generally going off course. To make up for it, we decided to combine our Wednesday and Friday post into a top ten… focused on how to let your career take over your life. Not that we’re saying that’s happened to us…

1. Check your work email at all hours of the day and night. Yes, we mean on Saturdays, Sundays, before work, after work, and even at three in the morning. So what if no one else is up? You could miss something to be stressed about.

2. On the rare occasion you get out of work early (on time), feel like you’re sneaking out. Feel nervous and uncomfortable until you cave in and call the office, just to see if you’ve forgotten anything.
